Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Fabio Carvalho suffered a dead leg in Liverpool's goalless draw against Everton on Saturday afternoon.
The 20-year-old, who was making his first Premier League start for the club, came off just before half-time after a heavy challenge from Amadou Onana. Carvalho is set to add to Liverpool's injury worries with Thiago, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita all out at the moment.
However, Klopp doesn't think Carvalho's issue is as bad as first feared. He also added that his injury should "settle quickly" but will review it ahead of their Champions League game against Napoli on Wednesday.
He told BT Sport: "I'm not 100% sure but I think it's the muscle above the knee, a massive dead leg and very painful. One of the most painful things you can get - it should settle quickly but we will see."
Thiago hasn't featured for the Reds since the opening day of the season when he was taken off midway through the first half against Fulham. But Klopp has revealed he is hoping Thiago can be back in training on Monday.
He said: "I hope Thiago can train on Monday."
It was a frantic Merseyside derby and both sides had their fair share of chances to win it. Liverpool went the closest to winning it in injury-time when Jordan Pickford tipped Mohamed Salah's goal-bound effort onto the post.

At the other hand, Neal Maupay should have done better as he was gifted a guilt-edge opportunity on the counter-attack, but Alisson made an excellent stop to deny him. Conor Coady then saw his goal chalked off for offside in an end-to-end clash. Nevertheless, Klopp was pleased with his side's performance and admitted they dug really deep to get a point.
"It was a real derby, super intense and full of really spectacular moments," Klopp continued. "They scored a goal - I didn’t see it back but I think it probably was offside. Ali made an excellent save. I think we hit the post three times and there were a few unbelievable saves from Pickford – wow, what can you do?
"In this game, easy and free-flowing is not possible. You have to dig deep, that’s what we did. A 0-0 draw sounds strange, but that’s it.
"It was a super intense week for us. We had a really tough game that went to the wire [against Newcastle on Wednesday], then a few days later you play here. If you open up with a goal, the situation can look different. I don’t know how many derbies I’ve had now – quite a few – but it’s always difficult here."
