Jurgen Klopp has recognised the success Ange Postecoglou enjoyed at Celtic ahead of his first encounter with the Australian this weekend.
Tottenham will host Liverpool tomorrow evening as two of the form teams in the Premier League lock horns.
Postecoglou has earned many plaudits for the way he's implemented his attacking style of football at Spurs since joining from the Scottish champions in July.
It was the exact same philosophy that saw the Aussie guide Celtic to five trophies out of six during his time in Glasgow and won the hearts and minds of the Hoops fans.
Klopp has yet to meet Postecoglou, but the German showed his knowledge of the coach while speaking to the media today.
Klopp said: “Tottenham are doing really well. Ange seems to be a top bloke. (We haven’t met) yet, I’m looking forward to meeting him.
“I’m pretty sure everybody knew that, when you saw Celtic play in recent years, what kind of coach he is, how good he is as a coach.
“(Postecoglou came) out to Tottenham (when) I think they were all desperate for some offensive football, and he’s delivering that, in a year when Harry Kane left the club.
“Yeah, he’s doing extremely well. They (are doing) extremely well. A well set-up team, exciting to watch, so it will be a real test – for both of us.”
Meanwhile, talented Celtic youngster Mitchel Frame is reportedly set to commit his future to the club.
It is believed that the defender, 17, has been in negotiations over a new contract at his boyhood club for some time.
His current deal is set to expire in the summer of 2025.
However, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the full-back has decided to pen a one-year extension on fresh terms at the Scottish champions.
