Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp are continuing to struggle with a depleted squad which saw the German forced into more changes on Monday night.
On the opening weekend, Klopp saw Thiago hobble off to add to his injury woes and on Monday night, Darwin Nunez, who was sent-off on his Anfield debut, came in to lead the line with Klopp admitting the decision was based on him having no other strikers to pick from.
Klopp was also was forced to deploy Nat Phillips, who is some way down the centre-back pecking order, alongside Virgil van Dijk as Joel Matip picked up a knock that will sideline him for a fortnight. The Liverpool boss has bemoaned a tough start to the season for his side, which he confessed was "not too cool".
He said on Matip's injury woes: “It will be two weeks… more, I think. We will see. The week was crazy. It was like we had a witch in the building, honestly. Every day somebody else pulled out for the craziest reasons.
“In the end, Joey [Gomez] didn’t start and Nat did really well, I have to say, because he trained only yesterday again. At the start of the week, he had a little issue. Bobby [Roberto Firmino] couldn’t make it. Hendo [Jordan Henderson], this morning we got the information there’s a little concern about something if he plays too long, so he didn’t play that long.
“That’s the situation. It was not too cool. But the game we made of it, I really liked it. That’s how it is. We want to fight and I saw that a lot, and we played really good stuff. A lot of good performances. But that’s it now, we drew. Let’s carry on.”

Nunez's red card, coupled with injuries to Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota, means Klopp may have to come up with makeshift solutions in the final third for the next game at Manchester United - although he did suggest that the Brazilian could be back in action.
Ibrahima Konate, Curtis Jones, summer signing Calvin Ramsay and Kaide Gordon are all also on the club's injury list, which is putting Klopp's recourses to the test. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, meanwhile, is out with a long-term hamstring injury which was sustained in pre-season.
Liverpool's frustration will be added to by their start to the season, which leaves them four points off Manchester City after two draws. Klopp said after their stalemate with Crystal Palace : "I think the way we played – and you all watched a lot of football games with 10 versus 11 and it’s not common that you put a team as much under pressure as we did.
"But we did and that was good. So, now we have a point more than before the game. I can imagine what kind of articles and headlines and commentaries that leads [to] but that’s life. So, we will go from here."
