Jurgen Klopp 'has asked' for new midfielder as Liverpool show Moises Caicedo 'attention'

Liverpool may not be finished in the transfer window as the situation of Moises Caicedo is one they are 'monitoring with attention' according to reports.

Jurgen Klopp is in desperate need of bringing in some midfield reinforcements and Saturday's 3-0 loss away at Brighton & Hove Albion highlighted that further.

The likes of Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister ran rings round the Liverpool midfield at the AMEX Stadium and the Ecuadorian is one Klopp has reportedly been casting a keen eye on for months now.

Former Brighton boss Graham Potter is reportedly also interested in bringing Caicedo to Chelsea amid a spending spree by new owner Todd Boehly.

Italian journalist Rudy Galetti has spoken of Liverpool's interest in the 21-year-old midfielder to Give Me Sport: "It’s hard to say with certainty right now. Klopp, for sure, has asked for a central midfielder. Moises Caicedo is one of the names Liverpool are monitoring with attention, but Brighton, to date, have no plans to sell him.”
