Jurgen Klopp has hinted there are times when he would like Liverpool to spend more money in the transfer market, but insists he has no issues with how FSG run the club.
The Reds are currently struggling to bring in a new midfielder before Thursday's transfer deadline, having previously changed stance after insisting their incoming business was done for the year after bringing in Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay. Having spent an initial £73m on the trio, the club recouped the vast majority of that fee in player sales after selling Sadio Mane, Neco Williams, Takumi Minamino and Ben Davies.
And while Klopp admitted he would have liked to see Liverpool be more adventurous in the transfer market, he also reiterated his faith in his current squad regardless as he targeted overseeing another successful season at Anfield.

"That's interesting that I don't make that decision, huh?" Klopp said. "Do I feel I've been backed? Yes. This summer? What does it mean 'backed'? Look what I don't like about it now is if I say 'I am not sure' then we make a massive thing about it. But it's not [a big deal], I realise as well that it is always like this. Is it always easy? No. Do we discuss this kind of thing in public? Of course not. Why would we? We don't start now with it.
"So let me say it like this, from time to time I would be ready to risk a bit more but like I say I don't decide that. And that is then fine because I am like this, we try everything until someone tells us 'here's now the deadline, we can't do anything anymore' and that we can't. And in that moment, I don't think one second back and that's what we all have to do now.
"Let's go from there, let's make something special of this team now. It's a great team and this team has everything and yes we've already had problems and didn't always play great football but we will really try to squeeze everything out of this season. And that's the only thing how I understand it to be honest."
Such a question regarding Liverpool's financial backing was put to Klopp after Scott Parker was sacked as AFC Bournemouth manager following his side's 9-0 loss to the Reds. However, his dismissal was more the result of comments questioning the Cherries' transfer activity rather than off the back of results.
And while Klopp was well-aware that Liverpool are running rather differently in comparison to other clubs, such as Wednesday night's opponents Newcastle United, he's more than happy with how the Reds are run by FSG.
"When I heard it [the Scott Parker news] today, that's the moment you realise how important it to have the right owners are," he said. "It's not about spending. We all know there are all different systems in the Premier League, how clubs are led. We spoke about it.
"Countries own clubs. Some rules don't let them do exactly what they want. If they could stretch their resources, that would be really strange. They could do absolutely everything because they are owned by countries. Then there are other clubs with other structures like us and maybe Arsenal or whoever. Then there are clubs like Bournemouth.
"You saw three teams coming up, Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth. Nottingham is spending like they spend, Fulham is doing some stuff but I can't remember Bournemouth doing a lot. That is difficult, coming up from Championship and you arrive in Premier League. That is not easy for a coach so I felt really for Scott... I was very surprised. I think he is an outstanding manager.
"Signing players never makes sense if they are not the right ones. Never. It never makes sense. Why would you do that? There are the right players out there for Bournemouth. When you start the business, of course the right players are out there. But if you can't do or are not allowed to do it, then some might come up who aren't the right players..."
He continued: "I am not careful (spending money). I don't think I have to be careful. We get told what is possible and what is not possible. That's it. In this range we try to work it. That's it.
"There's no criticism or anything, we became champions in a season when we didn't sign anyone. It wasn't the most famous approach after becoming second. We had injuries and I don't like that. We have an existing team as well... All the players we have here, we want them to be here and now we have to work with them.
"Unfortunately the season started and we had too many injuries. 100% true. We ask ourselves all the questions. Why it happened, how it happened. But we have to get through this. That's the Liverpool way as well, to get it through it together. That's what I like most about this club...
"Now we are doing pretty well in general, we starting getting picky about these little things. If we don't sign him, then everything is rubbish. But that's not how it is. I want to develop the squad, I want to develop the club. I want to be successful.
"Everybody wants to be successful here, 100%. What does that mean? Is our situation is as it is at some other clubs? No, it never was. But it's good enough to work with and that's what we're doing."
