Alan Shearer sends blunt Liverpool penalty message
Alan Shearer has delivered an emphatic one-word verdict on whether Nottingham Forest should have had a penalty against Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp’s side booked their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a 1-0 win at the City Ground on Sunday. Diogo Jota was on target for the Reds in the second-half.
However, in the final minutes of the game, Steve Cooper’s side saw an appeal for a penalty turned away by VAR. Referee Craig Pawson initially waved away the appeals before the incident received a second look.
