Jurgen Klopp has explained why Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane will all miss Liverpool’s FA Cup clash against Nottingham Forest.
The Reds can book their second trip to Wembley this season with a victory at the City Ground this evening. Manchester City would be their opponents in the semi-finals.
Only Alisson Becker, Virgil Van Dijk, Fabinho and Diogo Jota retain their places from the midweek win at Arsenal. Reds boss Klopp has made seven changes in total to his side for this evening’s game.

And speaking ahead of the game, the Liverpool boss explained that Robertson was ill - indicating that the Scotland international had tested positive for Covid.
While Klopp also revealed that Salah was still feeling the effects of his recent foot injury.. The Reds boss also suggested that Mane had been rested so he doesn't get injured ahead of Senegal's World Cup qualifying playoff against Egypt.
“They are in the quarter-final for a reason. Home games are useful for them. I think we know what to expect, hope we are ready for it,” the Liverpool boss told ITV before the game.
“Robbo is ill, it’s finally got him. Mo felt an injury again. Sadio, they have some massive games coming up. Hopefully it works out.”
