Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Joel Matip is back in training for Liverpool, though suggested the defender is unlikely to feature against Southampton on Saturday.
The defender hasn't featured since the Reds' loss to Arsenal at the start of last month. And with the Premier League breaking up for the World Cup mid-season break following Liverpool's clash with the Saints, Matip might have to wait to make his playing return.
"Joel trained with us. He was in pretty much the whole session," Klopp told reporters. "But the last bit he didn’t do. He is available as well, or would be available but has only trained once with the team."

Meanwhile, Klopp confirmed that James Milner is available again after suffering with a concussion, and offered positive updates on both Naby Keita and Luis Diaz.
"Nobody is out from the players who were available in midweek or for the last (Premier League) game," he said. "Milly is back in training today. Naby is out and running and Lucho is back on the pitch and running."
