Jurgen Klopp has denied that he has held talks with Jude Bellingham’s parents about a future move to Liverpool.
The England international is a longstanding Reds target, and is believed to be Klopp ’s first-choice to strengthen his midfield with Liverpool ’s engine-room in need of a major revamp.
However, Borussia Dortmund are seemingly unwilling to sanction an exit for the 19-year-old before the summer. Meanwhile, with the Reds facing rival interest from the likes of Man City and Real Madrid, it is likely they will need to part with a club-record fee if they are to be successful in efforts to sign the midfielder.

Following the opening of the January transfer window, Klopp has confirmed that Bellingham is on Liverpool’s radar. However, he has denied reports suggesting that the Reds have held talks with the player’s family in an effort to persuade him to move to Anfield.
“These things are not possible because he is under contract with Borussia Dortmund,” he said of the reports in an interview with SportBILD . “That is not possible without their consent. So it’s not true.
“Jude is a great player who we are familiar with, of course. We’d be stupid not to have him on our radar. But there’s nothing more to say at the moment.”
