Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Diogo Jota picked up an ankle injury in Liverpool's 2-0 win against Inter Milan.
Jota was replaced by Roberto Firmino at half-time, who broke the deadlock for the the Reds late on in the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 clash.
Mohamed Salah doubled their advantage soon after to give them a healthy lead heading into the second leg at Anfield, but Klopp will be sweating over Jota's fitness ahead of the Carabao Cup final next weekend.
"I'm really happy with everything apart from obviously Diogo had to go off with something around the ankle ligament," the Liverpool boss explained to BT Sport.
"We will see. We don't know exactly. He could play on, which is maybe a good sign. Half-time the ankle was swollen already, so we had to change."

In his post-match news conference, Klopp added: "Diogo had to go off with something around the ankle ligament. We shall see. He wanted to carry on. It was an adult performance.
"[It was a] twisted ankle, swollen, obviously not a good sign but we'll check it tomorrow. We need further assessment."
The Reds face Chelsea next Sunday's final, looking for their first taste of silverware since July 2020 when they lifted the Premier League title.
And Klopp's side will be hoping that the Carabao Cup is the first of many this season, now in the driving seat to reach the quarter-final stage in Europe.
It was not easy though, with the Liverpool manager admitting: "I think we started really well, we played around their formation in the beginning, then they came up a bit with direct play, switching to the wing-backs.
"We couldn't defend that too well, too often our full-backs were isolated in one on one situations. In a game like this you have to keep the ball longer.
"You cannot come here and hope you have a brilliant day and that's the only chance to get the result. We had not a brilliant day but a good enough day to get a deserved win, we scored two wonderful goals.
"Yes, they had their moments, they had counter-attacks, that sort of thing. Mainly counter-attacks when we lost the ball in the wrong spaces."
But the Reds were the victorious, as Firmino's deft headed goal from a corner kick changed the tide in the 75th minute, something Klopp credited to his coaching staff.
"Pete Krawietz and the analysts are responsible for this goal," he added. "We worked on it. All credit to Pete and his boys."
