Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool players find unique way to celebrate Trent Alexander-Arnold's birthday

Liverpool's players showed their appreciation for the birthday boy in their squad today, by singing Happy Birthday to him in five different languages.

Trent Alexander-Arnold celebrated turning 24 on Friday and his teammates did not let the occasion pass without making a fuss of the right-back, before training got underway ahead of the Red's crunch Premier League clash with Arsenal in North London on Sunday.

With manager Jurgen Klopp acting as ringleader, as seen on Liverpool's Instagram page, the German manager rounded up his players and announced: "Trent turned 24 today, so congratulations," before the squad broke into a rendition of the traditional birthday song in German.

If Alexander-Arnold thought that's all he was getting, however, he was in for a surprise. His colleagues quickly followed up with versions in English, Spanish, French and Dutch, making it a continental affair.

The West Derby-born full-back has come under criticism for his performances in recent weeks and was left out of England's squad against Germany in a Nations League fixture by Gareth Southgate. But the former PFA Young Player of the Year went some way to answering his doubters on Tuesday when he scored a sublime freekick to help Liverpool overcome Rangers 2-0 in the Champions League group stage match at Anfield.

Alexander-Arnold's birthday celebrations are likely to be relatively low-key with an important match to prepare for on Sunday, but should he be able to help his teammates secure three important away points against the Premier League leaders at the Emirates, it will cap off a perfect birthday weekend for him, not to mention Liverpool's supporters.
