Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp aimed a playful dig in the direction of Manchester United after he and his players arrived in Bangkok on Sunday for the start of their pre-season tour.
Liverpool — who won both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup last season — landed in Bangkok a little more than 24 hours after United arrived on Saturday. The two clubs will go head-to-head in their first pre-season friendly at the Rajamangala National Stadium on Tuesday, kick-off 2pm UK time.
It will represent each club's only game in Thailand, with Liverpool travelling to Singapore and United heading to Australia following the conclusion of Tuesday's encounter. Despite not being set to stay in the country for long, both sets of players and coaching staff were given heroes' welcome upon their arrivals in the country, with hundreds of fans trying to catch a glimpse of their idols.

United's players and manager Erik ten Hag were all given a great reception on Saturday, with Klopp and his players earning the same treatment the following day. Liverpool's arrival featured a swarm of people, and it certainly caught Klopp's attention.
A press conference was held at the airport and Klopp was flanked by both James Milner and Jordan Henderson for it. But before any journalists could get a question in, Klopp made sure he was the first person to speak, taking a teasing swipe at United.
Klopp said: "First question I have... did it look like this yesterday when Manchester United was here as well?" A few murmurs of "no, no" were heard in response.
But the truth is, both clubs were given a very warm welcome by the Thai people, who were all desperate to catch a glimpse of some of the Premier League's biggest names. It wasn't just fans that welcomed both sets of players to the country, either, with no shortage of journalists and photographers eagerly awaiting their arrivals.
