Jurgen Klopp has aimed a dig at Manchester United's defending during their 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Monday night. United showed everything that was missing against Brentford to come away with their first three points of the season.
Jadon Sancho gave the Reds the lead in the 16th minute with a brilliant, calm finish. Marcus Rashford doubled the advantage of the hosts in the second half, slotting past Allison after breaking the offside trap, with Mohamed Salah scoring a consolation goal with around ten minutes of normal time left.
The Reds team was lauded at the final whistle for their gutsy display, especially in defence. Club captain Harry Maguire was dropped with Raphael Varane coming in while Tyrell Malacia made his first start at left-back.

Ten Hag's back four all played tremendously as they put their bodies on the line to stop Klopp's outfit from scoring. However, speaking to Viaplay at full time, Klopp appeared to suggest that United's defence were not that good.
"We caused them massive problems," he explained. "We were unlucky in certain situations, especially around the set-piece that we didn't score.
"That could have turned the game, hypothetical of course. But we had a good second part of the first half, so we wanted to build on that and showed the boys [at half-time] a couple of situations where we played exactly in the spaces where United couldn't even get [near] to us.
"I think there were really confusing defensive situations where nobody of them [United's defenders] knew anymore really where [Liverpool's attackers] were, but there were enough legs there so they could defend it. And we couldn't score."
Monday's result meant that United leapfrogged Liverpool in the table and Klopp's side have yet to win this season. Next up for the Reds is a trip to Southampton on Saturday lunchtime.
