Jurgen Klopp has suggested Liverpool will spend in the January transfer market amid rumours they are keen on a deal for Jude Bellingham.
Borussia Dortmund will reportedly demand upwards of £130million for Bellingham, while Liverpool have been touted to spend a whopping £250m to improve their team after a middling first half of the campaign.
“I don't know about the amount of money,” Klopp told reporters.
“But I'm not against investment, to be honest! We will see what happens in the future.”
He added: “January, in our situation, it's a window where we always say from a sport side we are always prepared.
“That's how it is. We always work with what we've got and that hasn't changed. We are looking and if something happens, we will see.”
Liverpool face Aston Villa on Boxing Day and Klopp took some positives from a Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester City before the Premier League’s restart.
He said: “We have left a gap between us and the much more exciting positions in the table.
“We have to chase. I saw good signs last night, I wasn't happy with everything, our counter-press was pretty much non-existent which I didn't like.”
