Jurgen Klinsmann gushes over Celtic star Josip Juranovic as he shows Brazil 'who is boss' to ramp up transfer hype

Celtic star Josip Juranovic has earned rave reviews after his performance for Croatia against Brazil - with Jurgen Klinsmann declaring he has shown Vinicius Jr "who is boss."

The full-back was the standout performer for his flying runs down the right flank against the tournament favourites, while also keeping tabs on the likes of the Real Madrid superstar and Neymar in the first-half. Reports suggest that the scouts were keeping a watchful eye on the 27-year-old with Celtic prepared for bids in January after impressing in Qatar, and the showing will have done his chances of a big money move no harm.

The performance earned huge praise from World Cup winner Klinsmann and his fellow pundit Alex Scott at the break, and the likes of Atletico Madrid's scouts will also have been taking notes on the display for Croatia. The La Liga side have been heavily touted with a move for Juranovic by reports in Spain.

Scott told BBC Sport: 'He is not sitting back and worrying about the Brazilians and their overload down this side. I am going to make you worry about me. I am going to drive into space and change the point of attack.

"Look at his energy to get forward. He has been an option, even when it's nothing big to allow his team to keep possession and get up the field.

"He had been making Brazil worry about him. He has been doing it for the whole 45 minutes - pass and go."

"This is what managers really want to see. They want to see who drives who mad. In his case he is basically telling Vinicius Jr 'I am in charge here, I am the boss here'. This is a whole mental approach.

"He is saying I don't care about you, you might be the best winger in the World Cup, maybe I am going to score. And he almost scored. These one against one battles, if you summarise them all over the field you are going to win the game."
