Three Leeds United players are battling to be named the club’s Player of the Month for March, with Junior Firpo, Max Wober and Illan Meslier needing your votes to claim the award.
United faced three tough games in March, with under-performing Chelsea picking up their first win in seven attempts by seeing of Javi Gracia’s men at Stamford Bridge.
Leeds bounced back with an entertaining 2-2 draw with European hopefuls Brighton the in the following match, before last week’s 4-2 triumph against a rejuvenated Wolverhampton Wanderers lifted them up to 14th in the Premier League.
If Leeds have improved steadily under Gracia, the same can surely be said of left-back Firpo. The Dominican has faced down the likes of Raheem Sterling, Adama Traore and Solly March this month, and while the team have shipped seven goals in three matches, Firpo has been a steady presence in defence.
Fellow nominees Meslier and Wober have also played a big part in Leeds’ climb up the table, with the defence regularly coming under siege over the course of the month.
And while neither have been without their faults, Wober’s monumental efforts against Wolves and Chelsea, as well as Meslier’s happy habit of making big saves to keep his side in tight contests, mean both players have earned a place in this month’s final three.
