Ireland is set to bask in stunning summer temperatures on the hottest day of the year so far.
A weather expert said high pressure will dominate with the mercury soaring to a sweltering 23 degrees.
Weather Alerts Ireland said: "The forecasts are showing high pressure to position over Ireland over the bank holiday weekend! Temperatures of 23 degrees are forecast over the weekend with lots of sun!"

They added that there is some uncertainty about the weather on the Bank Holiday Monday.
Met Eireann said that the weekend will be mostly dry and warm but Atlantic rainbelts will likely push through later in the weekend.
Meanwhile, Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather also issued a positive update saying summer weather was on the way.
He said: "The trend is your friend and when the trend is up and to the right it is a great trend. In other words, the weather is looking likely to get better and warmer just as summer starts."
