The bank holiday weekend is almost here and the country is getting ready to enjoy a few days off in the sunshine.
Ireland's supermarkets will operate adjusted hours over the bank holiday weekend, so anyone going grocery shopping is advised to check their local shop's opening times in advance.
Here's all the main Irish supermarkets and their June bank holiday weekend opening hours:

Aldi
Aldi stores across Ireland operate their usual weekend hours on bank holidays. They will be open for the following hours this weekend:
Saturday, Sunday and Monday: 9am to 9pm.
However, the following stores will operate different hours on Monday 5 June:
- Killarney – 10.00am to 7.00pm
- Swords – 10.00am - 9.00pm
- Dunshaughlin - 10.00am - 9.00pm
- Mulhuddart – 10.00am - 7.00pm
- Blanchardstown -10:00am - 7.00pm
- Laytown - 11:00am - 7.00pm
- Dunshaughlin - 10.00am - 9.00pm
Lidl
Lidl operate Sunday hours on bank holidays. The usual opening hours for bank holiday weekends are:
Saturday: 8am until 10pm
Sunday and Monday: 9am until 9pm
Tesco
Tesco opening hours across the country are due to remain as normal on Saturday and Sunday, with the majority implementing their usual Sunday hours on bank holiday Monday.
Customers are advised to check their local store with the online locater to see what time it opens and closes.
Supervalu
Each SuperValu will likely be operating as normal on Saturday, while implementing their usual Sunday hours on bank holiday Monday.
Generally, the stores are open from 8am to 10pm but this can vary depending on location so you can check out the official SuperValu website for your local store's opening hours.
Dunnes Stores
Dunnes Stores will be operating as normal on Saturday and Sunday, while many will follow their usual Sunday opening hours on bank holiday Monday.
The majority of Dunnes Stores shops are open from 7am until 10pm Friday and Saturday, then on Sunday from 8am until 10pm and on Monday from 9am until 9pm.
