Julia Roberts lifted the lid on her marriage to husband Daniel Moder as she spoke about her family life in a new interview.
The Oscar-winning actress has been married to the cinematographer, 53, for 20 years, and the pair share three children; 17-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, and Henry, 15.
The 54-year-old rarely discusses her personal life but shared some insight on what she gets up to away from the camera and explained “acting is my dream, but it is not my only dream come true”.
The Ticket To Paradise star added that she finds “a lot of joy” from spending time with her brood and insisted that the life she’s built with Moder is the “best”.
Roberts told CBS Sunday Morning viewers: “When I’m not working, [being a homemaker] is my full-time job. It isn’t rainbows and kittens every day, but it does bring me a lot of joy.
“It’s just never consumed me, being an actor. It is my dream come true, but it is not my only dream come true.
“The life that I have built with my husband [and] the life that we’ve built with our children, that’s the best stuff. To come home at the end of the day, triumphantly, to them.”
The Pretty Woman actress also revealed that her husband writes her love letters which she keeps “tucked away” to show her daughter one day.
She continued: “[Writing handwritten notes is] something Danny and I have always done. The first letter he ever wrote me, which was seven pages long, I still have it tucked away.
“One day, I’ll show it to [my daughter] Hazel and say, ‘That’s what you’re looking for.’”
Speaking about her children, the Hollywood star described Henry as her “breakfast partner” and gushed that her daughter is “one of a kind”.
When asked who they look like, Roberts quipped: “I always think that they all look like me, and then Danny comes home from work, and I go, ‘Oh, you, that’s who they look like’.”
In 2020, the couple moved from Malibu to San Francisco after purchasing a 100-year-old home in the Presidio Heights neighbourhood for $8.3million.
