Julia Garner Stars In Paramount+'S Apartment 7A Psychological Horror Film

Apartment 7A

Julia Garner's latest project, the Paramount+ film Apartment 7A, promises to deliver a chilling experience for horror enthusiasts. Scheduled for release on September 27, the movie serves as a prequel to the iconic Rosemary's Baby and is directed by Natalie Erika James.

The plot revolves around Terry Gionoffrio, played by Garner, an aspiring dancer who relocates to a luxurious apartment building called the Bramford in New York City after suffering an injury. Alongside a wealthy couple portrayed by Dianne Wiest and Kevin McNally, Terry's life takes a dark turn when a Broadway producer, played by Jim Sturgess, offers her a shot at stardom.

As the story unfolds, Terry begins to suspect that malevolent forces are at play within her new residence, leading to a series of unsettling events. The trailer for Apartment 7A hints at a growing sense of unease, with Garner's character expressing her mounting concerns about the people around her.

The film, co-written by James, Christian White, and Skylar James, draws inspiration from Ira Levin's 1967 horror novel, Rosemary's Baby. Serving as a prequel to Roman Polanski's 1968 adaptation of the same name, Apartment 7A offers a fresh perspective on the eerie world introduced in the original story.

Notable producers on the project include John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller. Garner, known for her award-winning role in Ozark, brings her talent to the forefront once again as she embodies the complex character of Terry Gionoffrio.

In addition to Apartment 7A, Garner has exciting projects on the horizon, including roles in Wolf Man and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, both slated for release next year. Her diverse filmography, which includes appearances in acclaimed series like The Americans and Maniac, as well as feature films such as The Assistant and The Royal Hotel, showcases her versatility as an actress.
