She’s sharing her side of the uncut truth.
Actress Julia Fox took to TikTok to explain her short-lived relationship with Kanye West early this year, and where she stands these days with the 45-year-old rapper amid his latest controversies.
“The man was being normal around me,” said the “Uncut Gums” breakout, 32, on Monday, noting that she’s “always had a love” for West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian as the family previously bought and sold clothes from Fox’s fashion line.
West “hadn’t been doing anything out there” when the two started dating, according to Fox, who said their monthlong courtship was more due to her trying to “get him off of Kim’s case” than any genuine feelings.
“And I will say that that month that we spent together, he wasn’t on Twitter ... he wasn’t on any form of social media,” she continued. “The moment he started tweeting, I was out. ... And also, I realized pretty quickly that he wasn’t gonna take my help.”
Fox, who said she does “really deeply respect” West’s artistry, noted she does “stand with the Jewish community, period.”
West, also known as “Ye,” recently made multiple antisemitic remarks, leaving him suspended from Twitter — to which he returned this week — and on the outs with much of the entertainment industry. He also lost several lucrative brand deals including one with with Adidas that reportedly cost him billions.
