JUDY Murray has revealed a fascinating connection to Scotland rugby star Finn Russell.
Scotland hosted Italy at Murrayfield in the Six Nations on Saturday and Murray was asked outside the ground who her favourite player in the team was.
She said stand-off Russell before revealing she'd known him since he was a child having had a connection with both his dad and uncle.
Murray said: "My favourite Scotland player is Finn Russell, for sure.
"I've known him since he was a little boy. His dad used to be my badminton partner for many, many years and his uncle was my first boyfriend.

"He's just a very, very talented, very skilful, anticipates so well, sees the game differently from most other players, bit of a maverick, bit of a game changer, so it's always fun to watch him because you never know what's going to happen."
Murray and Russell are both originally from Bridge of Allan in Stirlingshire.
Russell's dad is Keith Russell who was the former director of domestic rugby for the Scottish Rugby Union.
Scotland beat Italy 32-19 to get their Six Nations off to a winning start. Gregor Townsend's men will play Ireland in Edinburgh on Sunday, who they have not beaten since 2017.
