NAGPUR: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday said the members of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) are less likely to get relief from judiciary as compared to those against whom action is being taken by the state.
Raut said, “Be it Parambir Singh or anyone else, there are around 25 people against whose crimes the state government is taking action. All of them rushed to the court and got some kind of relief. Can you show me even a single instance of similar kind of relief been given by the court to our people?”
Training his guns again on Kirit Somaiya, the Rajya Sabha MP said certain people have a habit of filing complaints. “Just like there are serial killers, there are serial complainants. They will keep on doing this forever. But like this, anyone can complain and level any allegation without proof,” said Raut.
He alleged that BJP is a party which has built its base on funds from questionable sources. “All the shady businessmen, hawala dealers, people with black money is where BJP got its funds,” said Raut.
Reiterating his earlier statement about ‘misuse of central agencies’, Raut added a Nagpur angle to it. “I have been in Nagpur for the last few days and saw the metro stations. I tried to see if some of the BJP leaders are begging there. Because according to central agencies, money is only with us. Their (BJP) leaders are beggars probably, so no investigation,” said Raut.
He added that in Maharashtra and West Bengal, central agencies are gunning for non-BJP leaders. “BJP lost two big states, hence, is getting desperate and misusing agencies for political vendetta,” said Raut.
On Tuesday, ED conducted raids on businesses owned by CM Uddhav Thackeray’s brother-in-law.
Leader of opposition Devendra Fadnavis said his party does not target political opponents.
“Our leader Narendra Modi never does vindictive politics, hence, there’s no question of anything like that happening,” said Fadnavis on his arrival at Nagpur airport on Wednesday evening.
“In fact, it is the state government which is conspiring to trap political leaders like Praveen Darekar and others. We have already shown how lawyers are involved in the plan to create fake cases to trap people,” said Fadnavis.
