Judging for the GloucestershireLive Business Awards 2022 has taken place.
The annual awards, which are back for 2022 in partnership with returning headline sponsors Randall & Payne, have been celebrating the best of business in the county for nearly a quarter of a century.
Last week, business leaders from around Gloucestershire gathered at Randall & Payne’s offices near Cheltenham to discuss the entries across a wide range of categories, including two new ones - the Sustainability Award and the Charity of the Year.
Following more than two hours of discussions, the finalists for each category were drawn up.
Tim Watkins, head judge and managing partner of Randall & Payne, said: “It was great to see so many entries this year and many from those that had either not entered for some time or hadn’t entered before.
“There was plenty of lively debate amongst the judges and the process was as rigorous as ever so the winners can be sure their awards are well earned!”
The awards, which are being run in partnership with BusinessLive, will be presented at a ceremony at Cheltenham Racecourse on October 13, bringing together senior leaders and decision-makers from across industries including technology, engineering, media, retail and property.
Tickets to the awards cost £80 (plus VAT) per person or £720 (plus VAT) for a table of 10. To book, visit the event website.
The 2022 GloucestershireLive Business Awards includes:
a finalists champagne reception with the opportunity to network with other finalists and sponsors;
a celebrity hosted black-tie ceremony on October 13 at Cheltenham Racecourse, where all the finalists are celebrated on screen, through video, in front of a Gloucestershire business audience;
all the finalists receive a badge to use on their website, email and social media;
all the winners receive a badge to use on their website, email and social media;
winners on GloucestershireLive and BusinessLive, and a feature on Randall & Payne’s website;
a winners’ dinners, which is a chance to be celebrated and socialise and network with other like-minded businesses.
This year’s charity partner is the Hollie Gazzard Trust, which was set up following the murder of 20-year-old Hollie Gazzard in 2014 by her ex-partner.
The charity was founded by her parents, Nick and Mandy, along with sister Chloe, and works to reduce domestic violence by delivering programmes on domestic abuse and promoting healthy relationships to schools and colleges.
It runs workshops, including intervention workshops, and events throughout the year. We will be fundraising for the charity on the night of the awards dinner.
The names of the finalists will be revealed in a special BusinessLive newsletter on Friday, August 12. Sign up to find out who's been shortlisted in 2022.
