Judge Rinder and Rylan 'tie the knot' but TV star blames wine on 'fake' engagement

Fans of Rylan and Judge Robert Rinder were over the moon after hearing that the two TV celebs had gotten engaged. But sadly the happy news didn't last long.

The news of their so-called engagement was spread on Twitter by Rinder after the pair watched Elton John perform at Glastonbury on Sunday night, according to MyLondon. Taking to the social media site, Rinder said: "Elton’s set at Glastonbury has inspired us to tie the knot. I love Rylan."

Fans were ecstatic to hear the news that the pair were getting married. Col Patterson (@ColPmusic) said: "Must be completely true. Absolutely. Good news story. Wonderful. May you never fall out over lost socks in the wash."

Studio-19-sea (@studio19sea) was quick to wish the couple well for their wedding. They said: "Congratulations. Great news. Wishing you both lots of happiness together."

Darren Murphy (@MrDarrenMurphy) added: "About time too. Can’t wait for the Rinder-Rylans (or is it Rylan-Rinders?) to visit."

But the good news didn't last long as Rylan was quick to jump into the comments to explain that Rinder was just playing the fool. He said simply: "Fake news he’s had a wine."

But they weren't the only celeb to get involved in the cheeky banter. Reverand Richard Coles replied to the message with a picture of himself and Rylan. He captioned the tweet: "One word…. And it’s BIGAMY."
