There is still a chance a Colorado woman who allegedly drugged and killed her two children then fled to the United Kingdom may not be extradited to the US to stand trial.
Kimberlee Singler, 36, is accused of drugging her three daughters, aged 7, 9, and 11, with sleeping pills then attacking them, according to multiple reports. She allegedly shot her two youngest then stabbed them in the necks, and their bodies were found lying together in the family's Colorado Springs home.
Singler's oldest child was also reportedly drugged and stabbed in the neck but survived her injuries. She initially told law enforcement an intruder killed her siblings before confessing to a foster parent that it was her birth mother.
The suspect was located and arrested in London on Dec. 30, 2024, days after the murdered children were found. She has been charged in absentia on seven counts, including two first-degree murder charges. She faces life in prison if she is extradited and charged in the US.
Singer's case will now go to British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, who will make the final decision. The suspect is expected to appeal the decision, taking it to the British Supreme Court and then potentially the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France, NBC News reported.
