Judge Admits Emails As Evidence In Cohen Case

The objection has been noted and overruled by Judge Juan Merchan, who is now accepting the exhibits into evidence. Prosecutor Matthew Colangelo is currently questioning Jeffrey McConney about a series of emails presented as evidence.

In the emails, Michael Cohen thanked McConney for a reminder to send invoices. McConney then requested an invoice to process a payment. Cohen inquired about the amount owed, to which McConney responded with $35,000. Subsequently, Cohen sent an invoice dated February 14, 2017, to McConney.

During the questioning, McConney confirmed that he considered the email with the invoice as sufficient documentation. He stated that as long as the invoice was approved, he deemed it acceptable.
