Jude Bonnar fulfilled a lifelong ambition on Tuesday night, making his senior debut for Celtic in a commanding 5-1 victory over Aberdeen.
The 19-year-old, who has been part of the club since he was just seven years old, was introduced by manager Brendan Rodgers in the 80th minute, replacing Arne Engels for the final action of the Scottish Premiership clash at Celtic Park.
Bonnar’s debut marks a significant milestone in his career, having risen through the ranks of Celtic’s youth academy.
The midfielder joins Francis Turley and Daniel Cummings as the latest Academy prospects to earn their competitive debut under Rodgers this season.
Bonnar reflected on the achievement with Celtic TV after the match, saying, “It's hard to put into words.
"It's something I've dreamed of since I was wee. So just getting the call up and being able to come on is just class.

"It motivates me even more, especially training with them and their quality, being able to keep up is a good confidence boost.
“They don’t stop and it makes it easier coming on because of the pace they’re playing at.
“I’m just grateful the manager has trusted me enough to step on the pitch with the players. He just said to make sure I was focused, and then just enjoy it.”
Rodgers was equally as pleased to be able to provide the youngster valuable first-team minutes.
“It was great for young Jude Bonnar to get his first appearance,” said the Celtic boss. “He's been working very hard with the second team.
“He's got a good profile, he fits how we want to play, so that was a nice little taster for him.”
