Jude Bellingham is set to "sit down" with Borussia Dortmund in January to discuss his future after being heavily linked with a move away from Germany.
The England international is a midfield target for Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp making it clear to FSG he wants the young star as part of his squad.
However, Liverpool are likely to face strong competition from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and potentially Premier League rivals for one of the hottest talents in the game.

Reports have surfaced most days claiming to know where Bellingham would rather play his football next season and the latest comes from Goal, who state that the 19-year-old is set to snub Liverpool in favour of a move to Madrid.
However, in a potential boost for the Reds, German football expert Jan Aage Fjortoft has cast doubt on those claims by posting on Twitter that Bellingham and his parents are due to discuss his future with Dortmund in January.
"All reports on what the player or his entourage prefer are speculations," said Fjortoft. "They will sit down with Dortmund in January. Then a process will be decided."
On the potential for Bellingham to move in January rather than next summer, Fjortoft added: "His club Dortmund is on the German stock market. A very high bid, needs to be reported to the shareholders. The club, the player will have the last word. But they could be put under pressure from shareholders and/or an 'immoral offer'."
