Jude Bellingham responds to Man Utd thrashing as Arsenal and Chelsea face summer transfer battle

Jude Bellingham's response after Liverpool thrashed Manchester United 7-0 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon has been spotted by fans on social media. The Borussia Dortmund star has attracted interest from the Premier League and Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window with his brilliant performances in Germany and with England at the World Cup.

football.london understands Arsenal are prioritising a move for West Ham captain Declan Rice in the summer with The Athletic reporting that the Gunners may be priced out of a move for Bellingham. Chelsea added Enzo Fernandez to Graham Potter's squad in January after completing a £106million British record transfer deal for the Argentina World Cup winner on deadline day.

The Blues may miss out on Bellingham's signature this summer with Champions League qualification looking highly unlikely after a poor season so far at Stamford Bridge. The 19-year-old's friendship with Liverpool stars Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold has led to speculation that Bellingham prefers a move to Anfield this summer, but Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all expected to enter the bidding war ahead of next season.

Talk surrounding Bellingham has died down in the last few months, Dortmund's sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, delivered the latest update on his future. "Jude feels very, very well at Borussia Dortmund," he told BILD.

"But there are no new talks, let alone requests for him. We need Jude to achieve our goals this season and we’re glad he’s focused so much on football and has no other issues on his mind at the moment.

"Jude still has two years of contract and is a very important part of this team. That’s why I naturally wish that he would play for BVB longer."

Fans spotted Bellingham's response to United's shocking result at Anfield on Sunday afternoon as the Dortmund star liked Alexander-Arnold's post-match Instagram post. After the game, the Liverpool defender celebrated the historic win and posted two photos - one image was of the scoreboard while the other was of the 'This is Anfield' sign, with the post brought in nearly 700,000 likes within the first hour from Reds supporters.

It was a like from the Dortmund star that really caught the eye to the Liverpool faithful who was viewing the post, sparking speculation once again that the Reds are in pole position to sign the England midfielder. The 19-year-old was clearly happy with what he saw on Merseyside as Liverpool smashed United and closed the gap on Tottenham in the top-four race.
