Jude Bellingham leads praise as brother Jobe seals Sunderland move

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has lead the reaction after brother Jobe sealed a move to Sunderland this morning. The brothers were spotted in a restaurant in Cleadon yesterday ahead of the younger brother completing his move to the Stadium of Light.

Jobe has penned a long-term deal on Wearside, arriving from Birmingham City for an undisclosed fee - believed to be in the region of £3million. The 17-year-old has long been courted by the Black Cats and is the latest young talent to arrive through the door.

He becomes the third new arrival at the Stadium of Light after the signings of Luis Semedo and Nectarios Triantis, while the club has also agreed a deal to bring young Dutch defender Jenson Seelt to the club from PSV.

Tony Mowbray's side are looking to build on their sixth place finish last season, where they were beaten by eventual play-off winners Luton Town over the course of the two legged semi-final. Red and white supporters are eager to see Bellingham in action.

Here's what Sunderland supporters had to say on social media after the deal was confirmed this morning:

@paulthomase said: "Welcome to @SunderlandAFC Jobe. Excited to see you join Sunderland. It’s a great place for young players to get first team football. Never a dull moment here. Give 100% every game and the fans will always have your back. All the best."

@chicoblack1875 tweeted: "Of all signings so far. I am absolutely over the moon to see this guy sign of the dotted line. He will go on to be something special and I cannot wait to see his progression."

@_Andyapple5_ said: "Welcome Jobe. Can’t wait to see you play for us."

@MichaelPotts_ tweeted: "Nobody should expect this lad to be Jude, but the fact he's comfortable with the rigours of Championship football at 17 is a massive plus. Physical unit for his age, seems like a genuinely top lad, eager to grow. Zero risk, massive upside."

@andythompleyton tweeted: "Another young talent through the door. Got to love the dedication to the ethos of investing in youth!"

@livvhutchison said: "What a fantastic sight."

@lukerids said: "Really excited about this one. Good times ahead."

@GHGHeighton said: "Another signing with Height. I wonder who else is coming in under the radar. I can see Dajaku and Wright going. Would like to see to more forwards a contract extension Stewart and maybe more attacking midfielder and a Corry Evans type player."
