Jude Bellingham has delivered major Chelsea transfer verdict amid huge Todd Boehly decision

Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham has already told Chelsea what they must do in order to sign the exciting talent next summer.

The highly-rated midfielder is attracting interest from top clubs across Europe and the Blues are arguably needing midfield reinforcements more than any other rival. N'Golo Kante and Jorginho have entered the final year of their contracts at Stamford Bridge with reports linking the pair with a move to Barcelona.

Frenkie de Jong was a serious transfer target for Chelsea in the summer transfer window, but the west London outfit could turn their attentions to entering a bidding war with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich for the 19-year-old midfielder. If Bellingham looks to secure a move away from Dortmund, he will not be short of suitors but clubs will need to prove they are the right move to take his career forward.

The England international took the decision to leave Birmingham City, sealing a move to the Bundesliga back in 2020 and has since made 100 appearances in all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing a further 18 assists. Speaking earlier this year, Bellingham highlighted the need to 'move forward' in his career and how well he has developed as a player during his time at Dortmund.

In an interview with Ruhr Nachrichten BVB (via 90 min), the 19-year-old said: "I have my destiny in my hands. I know that if I try hard and trust the people around me, I can move forward.

"I came from England as a young talent, there was not much pressure. The first season went well, but there were also matches where I sat on the bench and sometimes I did not play at all.

"I think my development this year has meant that I have played a bigger role in every game except two. I am very grateful to Dortmund for the way they have nurtured my talent.

"I think a lot of the credit goes to the coaching staff and the staff who keep the noise around me. In this way, I can only focus on winning matches, because that’s what I’m here for."

Bellingham is under contract until 2025 but Dortmund could struggle to hold on to the 19-year-old talent with clubs lining up huge bids to secure the young midfielder's services. Todd Boehly will need to pay in excess of £100million to bring Bellingham to Stamford Bridge, with clubs being quoted a fee in the region of £110million this summer.
