Jude Bellingham calls out Jordan Henderson 'rubbish' as Liverpool relationship blossoms

It's time for your Liverpool FC morning headlines on Monday, December 5.

'Ridiculous' - Jude Bellingham sends blunt message over Liverpool star Jordan Henderson

Jude Bellingham believes Jordan Henderson deserves more credit following his contribution in England's 3-0 victory over Senegal.

The Liverpool midfielder opened the scoring at the Al Bayt Stadium last night as the Three Lions saw off the current AFCON holders in Al Khor after further goals from Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka. Gareth Southgate's side will now face France in the last eight of the competition.

Playing alongside Bellingham in a midfield three, Henderson had faced some criticism for his selection in England's starting XI. Proving his worth to the side with another strong showing in the Middle East, the Borussia Dortmund star sent a firm message to those who doubt Liverpool's captain.

''[It was a] Brilliant performance and I seen some of the rubbish that was said about him playing. It’s ridiculous, [Henderson is] so underrated technically and he’s delivered in a big game with a massive game so I think it’s about time he gets respect,'' Bellingham told ITV following England's triumph.

What Trent Alexander-Arnold did at full time as another message sent to Jude Bellingham

The bond between Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Liverpool transfer target Jude Bellingham appears to be growing the deeper England advance into the World Cup.

Ever since the tournament got underway in Qatar, the Anfield duo have been routinely photographed at close quarters with their club's prospective new signing.

Bellingham turned provider on Sunday evening as he provided the pass that allowed Henderson to put England 1-0 up against Senegal in the Round of 16, helping to kick-start a 3-0 win that now sets up a mouth-watering quarter-final date with defending world champions France.

Straight after the goal, Henderson and Bellingham celebrated by locking heads in a demonstration of mutual appreciation, but as it later emerged, that wasn't the only time such an act was undertaken.

A tweet from the official England account later showed Bellingham on a video call with both Henderson and Alexander-Arnold. Bellingham looks delighted as his international teammates recreate the celebration with each other.

That wasn't the only evidence of the blossoming 'red-mance' on the night either. After celebrating Henderson's goal, the Liverpool captain can be seen addressing the crowd by pointing at Bellingham, before the 19-year-old returned the compliment.
