The Charlotte Hornets got their first summer league victory on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers, 89-86.

For the Hornets, they were led by Ty-Shon Alexander, who finished with a game-high 22 points and 6 rebounds. Alexander last played for the Suns in 2020-21 before signing overseas in Italy.

First-round pick Mark Williams played 18 minutes, finishing with 3 points and 7 rebounds.

LiAngelo Ball, who missed the first game due to health and safety protocols, played just five minutes in his return.
