Jrue Holiday shares his thoughts on a possible contract extension with the Boston Celtics

NBA teams around the league are likely dismayed to hear that pending free agent Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday is happy with his current situation, and would like to stay with the Celtics after this season. One of if not the best of the potential class of free agents for the 2024 offseason, Holiday recently let it be known in an interview that he is pleased with his current situation.

This of course entails tacking some years onto his current deal in an extension that could have the UCLA alum in green and white until he’s ready to retire from the game. He currently has another year left on his current contract on a player option, so it sounds like he’ll be taking that option.

But Holiday genuinely sounded open to an extension with the Celtics, which was the topic of conversation on a recent episode of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast.
