Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, currently promoting her latest film 'Unstoppable,' experienced an awkward moment during a screening when a comment caught her—and fans in attendance—off guard.
At a Los Angeles screening of 'Unstoppable,' Variety magazine Senior Awards Editor Clayton Davis surprised the audience with a remark about her age. He noted that the 55-year-old artist was "getting up there" in age which led to murmurs from the crowd, including a shocked, "Did he really say that?" someone can be heard saying.
A loud "Wow!" escaped JLo, who took a moment before smiling. While faint laughter could be heard from the audience.
Davis quickly clarified that it was a joke, with Lopez turning to the audience to express gratitude for their unwavering support over the years.
"What a journey this has been," Lopez began, reflecting on how her new music transports her back to 1999 when she released her first single. She emphasized her appreciation for her loyal fans and assured them that "the best is yet to come."
Davis later shared a photo with JLo but limited comments on the post.
'Unstoppable'
Directed by William Goldenberg, 'Unstoppable' is a biographical film that tells the inspiring story of Anthony Robles, a wrestler born with one leg who became a national wrestling champion in 2011.
In the film, Jennifer Lopez plays Judy Robles, Anthony's mother, who supports him unconditionally throughout his journey. During the movie's promotion, Lopez has expressed excitement and been deeply moved by the emotional impact the story promises to deliver.
Despite recent personal controversies, including her separation from Ben Affleck, Lopez has remained professionally focused, working tirelessly to ensure 'Unstoppable' becomes a success.
