Wanted Jota will join Al-Ittihad next week as the timeline for his Celtic departure has been revealed.
The Portuguese winger has turned heads since arriving at Parkhead initially on-loan from Benfica in 2021 before making the move permanent last summer. He is now set to bank a life-changing wage boost to the tune of around £200k per week as the big-spending Saudi Arabian club close in on a £25m deal, having already signed Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante this summer.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the finishing touches are being put on a transfer that will take Jota to the middle-east next week, with the 24-year-old already saying yes to moving. He tweeted: "Al-Ittihad have prepared documents and contracts for Jota to join the club next week. The player has already accepted, work in progress between clubs with Celtic for Jota to join Kante and Benzema at Al-Ittihad."
