Jota's Celtic form earns glowing Champions League report card as winger rubs shoulders with European superstars

Celtic star Jota has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Rodrygo, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Timo Werner this season in Group E of the Champions League - and he can boast beating them all in one particular stat despite failing to qualify for the last 16.

The Portuguese star is widely renowned as Celtic 's key attacking prospect, with his ability to turn defenders inside out and glide past them with ease becoming a huge asset to Ange Postecoglou in the Scottish Premiership and on the continent. Not short of suitors and opposing fans looking on in awe, there aren't many better at what he does - though he has had more than enough competition in this year's competition.

And, with just one game left to go in the competition, a statistic has come to light that paints the former Benfica youngster in a brilliant light for all of his efforts in UEFA 's top competition - marking him just second behind Vinicius Junior in terms of dribbles completed per 90 minutes.

The Brazilian comes top with five dribbles, unsurprisingly highlighting his quality as one of the world's best young players and equally one of the globe's best wingers - we've seen that already this season having run Celtic ragged in the second half at Parkhead.

But Jota, alongside Napoli prodigy Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, has completed 3.5. Given the plaudits that the Georgian has earned this season with the Italian side currently on a winning streak of 13 games, Jota can consider himself in extremely sought-after company.

Following the duo are Sporting's Marcus Edwards, formerly of Tottenham, and Rafeal Leao of AC Milan - on 3.1 and 2.9 dribbles completed respectively. Again, with Leao being linked with a £70million Chelsea move over the summer and Edwards being touted for a potential move after opening the door for a return to England, he isn't in bad company.
