Jota's now former Celtic colleagues have reacted to his Al-Ittihad transfer.
The 24-year-old has completed a big money switch to the Saudi Pro League as he teams up with superstars Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante under the watchful eye of Nuno Espirito Santo and former Hearts boss Ian Cathro as he takes on a new chapter in his career.
The news of his transfer broke late last night with both Celtic and Al-Ittihad announcing the switch on their social media channels. The Hoops - now under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers for a second spell - posted a short statement to confirm his departure and wished the Portuguese star all the best accompanied with a highlights reel of his time in Glasgow.

They posted: "After two seasons with the club, one on loan from Benfica and one on a full contract, Portuguese winger, Jota has left Celtic to join Saudi Arabian club, Al-Ittihad.
"In his time in the Hoops, Jota won two league titles as well as picking up winner’s medals in both the Scottish and League Cups.
"Everyone at Celtic Football Club wishes Jota success in his future career."
The Instagram version of the exit message caught the attention of Hoops stars past and present with Christopher Jullien, Ryan Christie, Josip Juranovic, Joe Hart and Kyogo Furuhashi all acknowledging the move to the Middle East with a like on the post that has gathered over 44,000 interactions at the time of writing.
Jullien also shared the Al-Ittihad announcement video and wrote: "Show them bro." with the fire and pray emojis.
Jota arrived at Parkhead on an initial season-long loan during Ange Postecoglou's first campaign in charge but after a stunning season and quickly establishing himself as a fans' favourite, the 57-year-old - now in charge at Tottenham - made the capture of the winger a priority last summer.
He shelled out £6.5million to make the deal happen with the Portuguese side set to bank further after inserting a sell-on clause in the transfer to Celtic.
Last season he netted 15 goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions including a stunning free-kick against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the Champions League in a moment he described at the time as 'one of the best moments of my life'.
