Jota hails Celtic pal as 'unbelievable' and says he 'doesn't get enough credit'

Jota has labelled Greg Taylor as a 'top player' and reckons he does not get enough credit for his performances for Celtic.

The Scotland international picked up the man of the match award as the Hoops put on a five-star show against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. He played a stunning pass to Daizen Maeda for Kyogo Furuhashi's opener as he continues to go from strength to strength under Ange Postecoglou - and underline his importance to the Scottish champions.

Celtic made it three wins from three in the Premiership as they re-joined Rangers in boasting 100 per cent records at the top of the standings after a stunning win in Ayrshire. Kyogo opened the scoring after just five minutes before Jota scored a 30-yard screamer.

Moritz Jenz then fired a third before the break with an acrobatic effort. Carl Starfelt - who climbed off the bench to mark his return from injury - grabbed his first goal for the Hoops before fellow sub Giorgos Giakoumakis scored an overhead kick to wrap up the perfect afternoon for the visitors in style.

Jota, who made the permanent switch from Benfica this summer, has started off the season on fire as he added to his Aberdeen goal and hat-trick of assists against Ross County. He has collected many plaudits so far this campaign, but he was quick to heap praise on his pal Taylor and his 'unbelievable' standards in every single game.

He told Sky Sports: "First of all, I think I should speak about Greg because he's been unbelievable this season. He's a top player, he's delivering in every game and his standards in every game are unbelievable.

"I don't think he gets enough credit."
