Jota Celtic unique angle goal footage vs Rangers shared by club as he bows towards fans at Hampden

Celtic have released unique angle footage of Jota's Hampden winner against Rangers.

The Hoops attacker was switched on - like team-mate Daizen Maeda - as the duo caught out a sleeping Light Blues defence to create what proved to be the match-winning goal and with that book a Scottish Cup Final slot against Inverness Caley Thistle. The Ibrox men had stopped after a coming together between Nicolas Raskin and Matt O'Riley but the Hoops attackers were sharp and a brilliant cross from Maeda was turned home to send the green and white end of the national stadium wild.

All the Celtic players made their way over to celebrate with the Portuguese star and he even saluted the very vocal Celtic support and appeared to signal towards team-mate and No1 Joe Hart at the opposite end as he made his way back to the halfway line. It's the second time Ange Postecoglou has defeated Michael Beale at Hampden after a League Cup triumph earlier this year.

The new Rangers boss is yet to get the better of his Old Firm rival with the duo already facing each other four times with the Hoops winning three and the first game between the pair at Ibrox ending in a 2-2 draw. They will be side by side on the touchline again in a matter of weeks in the final Premiership meeting of the season between Glasgow's big two.

Speaking to Celtic TV after the victory at Hampden, Jota said: “We’re very, very pleased with this win. I thought the boys put in an amazing shift again. We came with all of our strengths and we achieved our goal, which was the victory, to get to the final.

"So I’m thrilled with everything that is happening right now in this football club and I hope we can continue the run. It’s always special to play in these games and these are the ones where you always learn the most, that we feel the most, and we just want to feel alive.'

“So whenever you get the opportunity to go out there and play against this kind of teams, that makes you be the best version of yourself, it’s always really important. So we just want to keep on doing this.

“Regarding the goal, it’s just feeling the moment and being in the right place at the right time to do it.

“It’s a great emotion for me but I know this came from a lot of hard work. We are like a unit so we’re all together on this in order for me to score – someone has to cross it, someone had to steal the ball before then.

“So it’s all in one and I’m just so happy to be part of this team with amazing lads and amazing staff, and I just keep on going.”
