Joss Stone is moving back to the UK next year.
The 37-year-old singer has been living in the US with husband Cody De Luz and their children Violet, three, and two-year-old Shackleton but after adopting their infant son Bear and falling pregnant with their fourth child, the couple are planning to return to England so their brood can experience an upbringing similar to Joss’ own childhood in Devon.
She told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “England is my home.
“As much as I love it here, I had such a lovely upbringing, which I would love to give to my kids. And Cody feels the same.
“I really miss my family more than anything, and I hate that I’m missing the children’s cousins growing up.
“It’s really a decision about what’s the best thing for our babies – because if they’re happy, we’re happy.
“We just need to get on a plane and get home. Hopefully that’ll happen in 2025.”
But after Bear was born prematurely, the family are planning to stay in their “little safe love bubble” in the US for the Christmas period.
Joss said: “He’s brand new, so it feels more special to be in this little safe love bubble, as he’s so delicate.
“He’s a very special, precious little guy and we have to protect him until he is big enough to go out into this big bad world.”
The ‘Fell In Love With a Boy’ hitmaker explained she and her husband chose their son’s name after she met adventurer Bear Grylls at a charity event some time ago and realised his moniker has all the characteristics she was looking for.
She said: “I just think it’s a cool name and I like the idea that it can be shortened to Teddy.
“What I look for in a name for boys is something that’s strong but also friendly.”
