Josip Juranovic has been handed the ultimate compliment by having his free-kick stunner compared to David Beckham.
The former Celtic defender continued his stunning start to life in Germany by stepping up and curling a free-kick over the wall and into the top corner of the net as Union Berlin played out a 1-1 draw with Bochum after being reduced to ten-men. The point could prove valuable come the end of the season with the ex-Hoops man chasing Champions League football next season.
Former England, Manchester United and Real Madrid star Beckham was widely known for his genius over a dead-ball situation. Throughout his career he netted numerous free-kicks and it became a well-known tool of his game. Watching his former team-mate fire a free-kick the one-time PSG man would have been proud of clearly brought him to mind as he paid his pal the ultimate praise.

Following Sunday's draw, the defender uploaded a series of images from the Bundesliga showdown alongside the caption: "Not the result we wanted, but we keep fighting! Boooooom.!" The images caught the eye of former Celtic pal Moritz Jenz - also plying his trade in Germany with Schalke - as he simply commented: "David Beckham" alongside the happy face and heart shaped eye and OK emojis.
His post also grabbed the attention of a number of faces from Celtic with Benjamin Siegrist, Joe Hart and Kyogo Furuhashi liking the post alongside former duo Leigh Griffiths and Christopher Jullien.
Rangers star Borna Barisic - who is also dangerous with crosses and set pieces - also handed his Croatia international team-mate some recognition by liking his post.
The draw leaves Union sitting third in the Bundesliga standings behind Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. They still have faint title hopes with six games to play. They currently trail top spot by seven points.
The battle for Juranovic and Co will be reaching the top four and qualifying for the Europe's premier competition next season. They are one point ahead of Leipzig in fourth, who occupy the final qualifying spot, while Freiburg are fifth - just one point further back in an exciting climax to Germany's top flight.
Next up is a trip to Borussia Mönchengladbach before a home tie with Bayer Leverkusen which will see two former Celtic stars go head to head with Jeremie Frimpong on the books of the opposition.
