Josip Juranovic in lowball Celtic exit link as Barcelona's £6m valuation is wildly wide of the mark

Josip Juranovic has been freshly linked with leaving Celtic for Barcelona - but the numbers don't quite add up.

The right-back is attracting interest from an ever-expanding list of clubs after his performances at the World Cup for Croatia. Some high-profile suitors have been mentioned but arguably the biggest is Barcelona, who are believed to be in the market for a new right-back. Celtic aren't prepared to let him go cheaply and Record Sport recently revealed how the Parkhead side have slapped minimum price tag of £17 million to take him away from Ange Postecoglou's plans.

Reports in Spain though suggest that the Catalan club may only put around one-third of the Hoops' transfer demand. Diariogol claim Camp Nou bosses watched Juranovic in Qatar and see him as an economically-feasible option in the January window. Financial Fair Play could provide a stumbling block but it's suggested that a "little more than 6 million" transfer for the 27-year-old could perfectly adapt to their current landscape.

Given the high price Celtic have set for him though, it seems likely that the price the full-back could depart for will be significantly more than Barcelona are willing to put up.
