Josip Juranovic has no interest in cutting short his time at Celtic, according to a report in Croatia.
The 26-year-old was the subject of shock transfer speculation after just 12 months in the east end of Glasgow, with the Hoops slapping a £15million price tag on him, reports The Daily Record.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claimed Juranovic was ‘expected’ to leave Celtic with the player attracting interest from the Premier League.
He did not, though, name a club although Southampton have recently been linked with a move for Juranovic.
Now a further report in his homeland insists the player has no desire to leave Ange Postecoglou’s men just one season into a five-year contract.
And he doesn’t want any move disrupting his chances of heading to the World Cup in Qatar this winter after becoming a key part of the Croatia national team.
Croatian outlet Germanijak said: “Josip Juranovic to the Premier League? Right now - no! As per our sources, Jura is happy in Celtic he plays regularly and in less than a year he (has become a) fans favourite.
“Also, he doesn't want to jeopardise his chances for WC in Qatar. Celtic wants at least £15m for Jura.”
