La Liga giants Atletico Madrid will have to hurdle financial fair play issues if they are to lodge a 'serious' attempt to sign Celtic right-back Josip Juranovic, according to reports.
It emerged over the weekend that the Croatian international was under consideration for bolstering the Spanish capital club's full-back department, amid national team colleague Sime Vrsaljko coming out of contract and Daniel Wass turning 34 in May next year. £15 million is the reported asking price Celtic will demand for a player they only signed 10 months ago from Polish side Legia Warszawa.
According to the Daily Mail, regulations with FFP though are limiting what the 2021 La Liga champions can offer in the transfer market. They have had to ease their wage bill and the departure of striker Luis Suarez has helped them with that, while an agreement is believed to be close for the naming rights of their Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Players sales will still be needed though before they can offer anything close to what the Hoops are looking for this summer.
Thomas Lemar, who joined Atletico for £62 million from Monaco in 2018, is one player who could depart in the Spanish capital fire sale.
Juranovic is also believed to be wanted in the English Premier League and Atletico have a list of potential right-back alternatives on their mind, including Arsenal 's Hector Bellerin and Tottenham's Emerson Royal.
Parkhead boss Ange Postecoglou has already signed defender Cameron Carter-Vickers and goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist ahead of a Premiership title defence and assault on the Champions League group stages.
