Serie A side Tornio have reportedly made contact with Celtic over a potential move for Josip Juranovic.
A bumper payday is on the cards should the Parkhead chiefs cash-in on Juranovic in the January window with the defender's stock rapidly rising with his showings at the World Cup, with Croatia's run ending against Argentina in the semi-final. His showing against Brazil during the shock quarter-final victory over the tournament favourites has reportedly caught the attention of the likes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
However, the Italian side have reportedly moved first. Transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Torino have already reached out to Celtic over a move and have already held talks, as he notes the player is expected to leave the Scottish Premiership champions next month. It is claimed Torino are the first club to reportedly contact Celtic over a possible transfer of Juranovic, but the report states talks remain at a preliminary stage.
Ange Postecoglou has already started planning for life without the 27-year-old after contract talks with the defender stalled. Alistair Johnston has made the move to Celtic Park after impressing for Canada in Qatar.
