Josie Gibson has offered her thanks to This Morning co-host Craig Doyle, after the two stars hosted the show together this week. And her very public appreciation for her colleague comes as upset viewers threaten to 'switch off' over the pair being 'split up' by producers.
The popular Big Brother winner and former Holiday presenter became an instant hit with many viewers when they hosted together for the first time last year, with fans describing their partnership as " a breath of fresh air," and even months before the Phillip Schofield scandal cast a cloud over This Morning, there were calls for Josie and Craig to be made the ITV show's full time presenters.
Those demands have only become louder after Phillip's headline-hitting exit and the controversy This Morning has found itself surrounded by of late, meaning many people watching at home, while curious at why Holly Willoughby wasn't at work on Monday, were delighted to see Josie and Craig reunited. And Josie was clearly delighted to be back with Craig too as, taking to Instagram after credits rolled, she thanked Craig and added: 2I've had a blast!"

Holly's return on Tuesday, with the main presenter still clearly fragile from a weekend from Glastonbury, led to to many of the champions of a Josie and Craig double act to declare they were ready to 'switch off' as Craig and Holly just 'didn't work.' Hitting out at Holly, one critic took to Twitter to post: "She had a day off on Thursday lazy Holly on a huge salary . Itv don't need her any more Craig & Josie are brilliant."
Another firm backer of a move that would see Josie and Craig made full time hosts, another tweeted: "Craig & Josie make a good team. It's time for Holly to go like Philip," as a third commented: "I’d happily watch Craig and josie but the rest can go forth and multiply lol"
