Josie Gibson shares telling post after Phillip Schofield's departure

Josie Gibson has shared a series of cryptic Instagram posts following Phillip Schofield's departure from This Morning.

Josie, 38, hasn't paid tribute to Phil after he quit the ITV show at the weekend with "immediate effect". Phil, 61, released a lengthy statement after rumours about his and Holly's feud reached fever pitch.

While a number of her This Morning co-stars including Rochelle Humes and celebrity chef Clodagh McKenna have broken their silence on the drama and shared tributes in support of Phillip, Josie has continued to remain silent - reports Mirror Online.

She did however take to Instagram on Monday evening to post a number of cryptic quotes.

One quote read: "Remember, being happy doesn't mean you have it all. It simply means you're thankful for all you have."

And another quote read: "I think the most beautiful thing in the world is watching the light come on in someone's eyes, after they have been lost in the dark for so long."

Last week, Josie paid a gushing tribute to another This Morning colleague who left the show. Josie took to social media to say goodbye to producer Ella Bates.

Josie said: "The day we all got caught in the rain at @coronationstreet while filming @thismorning and then the sunshine came out. When I say sunshine I mean @ella.bates beautiful face.

"Ella I am so so sad to see you leave us. You lighten up any room with your magical energy.

"You are Golden my friend and your going places with that special energy of yours. I know you're going to live out your dreams but we are going to miss you so very much

After Ella's departure, it wasn't long before Phillip announced that he too was leaving the iconic ITV show after 21 years.

He said: "I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.

"Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.

"I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.

"So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future."

Following his shock exit from the ITV programme, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary returned to This Morning on Monday to present as Holly is currently on holiday for two weeks, with her set to make a comeback return on June 5.

It has not yet been announced who will fill Phillip's shoes on This Morning, but both Alison and Dermot are said to be in the running along with Rylan Clark, Rochelle Humes, Piers Morgan, Josie Gibson, and Gino D'Acampo.
