Josie Gibson says she's learnt to 'love her curves' after years of yo yo dieting

Josie Gibson has declared that she loves her curves and would never diet them away after years of yo-yo dieting.

The 37-year-old former Big Brother contestant is one of the many reality stars to have cashed in on fame by releasing a fitness DVD – with Josie Gibson: 30 Second Slim being released back in 2013.

And while the star has always been an open book about her weight struggles over the years since she found fame on Big Brother in 2010, she says she would never suit being “stick thin”.

Last year, Josie was named as an ambassador for WW – the company formally known as Weight Watchers – and she says she is thrilled to have the help as she continues her journey towards her dream body.

Asked exactly what weight she would like to achieve, Josie told new! magazine: “I don’t know what weight it would be but I want to be between a size 12 and 14. I wouldn’t suit being stick thin. I love my curves.”

Josie says tracking how much food she eats, how much water she drinks, and how much sleep she achieves has revolutionised her approach to weight loss.

She told the mag: “I feel really good and I’ve got lots of energy. It’s an app on my phone and it helps me make better decisions, but not just about food. It’s about the four pillars of health.

“You’ve got your profile on there and you’ve got exercise workouts to choose from, where you can set yourself a goals each month.

"Then you can track all your food and if you’re eating lots of fruit and veg you can earn personal points from doing that.”

Josie says learning o get a good night of sleep has been her best lesson from the program.

She said: "I realised that’s where I was going wrong before. I wasn’t sleeping right and was so tired so I was just eating crap.

"Heaven knows what size I would have been now if I hadn’t joined WW as I was just in a vicious circle.”

Back in 2020, Josie hit back at a cruel online troll who tried to shame her about her body size.

A follower on Twitter wrote: "I don’t mean to be rude but @Josiestweet is absolutely vile. It breaks my heart when I look at how fat she has got again."

The reality star quote-tweeted the follower and wrote: "But you are being rude, so you do mean to be rude.

"Don't let my weight gain break your heart, honestly there is so many more things in the world to care about that really do matter."

Josie has since praised WW for helping her on her health and fitness journey.

In a social media post she shared last year, the star said: "You get to a point when you look in the mirror and you don't recognise who you are.

"I was a size 18 and this morning, I squeezed on a pair of size 14 jeans.

"I have more energy, I feel great, I'm slimmer and I'm looking forward to the next part of my journey."
